It wouldn't be enough No, it wouldn't be enough To buy one splinter of the tree My Jesus died on And I could not pay the price For one single drop of blood that was shed For my Salvation! This is part of an old song that my wife has on tape. You can tell it's old since it is on tape. What can we do to pay God back for what he did for us? Psalm 116: 12-14 What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me: I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all His people. There is nothing we can do to pay him back. But we can gratefully accept His free gift and out of a changed heart of love we can make vows to the Lord to help carry out godly works here on earth. We can't repay Him, but we can respond to Him. 1. John 4:16 And we have known an believed the love that God has for us. That is what God desires of us the most! Believe and receive His love! Setfree

Im trying to respond to him, I don't deserve his mercy, i'm not worth the trouble. I can't pay him anything back, I can't earn his love, but I can act like I love him. Good one set free, i missed it the first time around.

Let me see if I can find it, and a tape player to play it. We're so use to C.D.'s now.

Ok, found it all.
"It Wouldn't Be Enough" sung by Marietta Wolfe
(verse 1) If I had all the riches this world has to give All the comfort that it brings, never meaning anything I could search the whole world over far and wide, trying to buy this precious love, that was sent from God above
(chorus) But it wouldn't be enough, no it wouldn't be enough to buy one splinter of the tree Jesus died on And I could not pay the price for one single drop of blood that was shed for my salvation
verse 2 If I had all the riches that the world has to give, and I gave it all away, every penny to my name, to some beggar on life's dark and lonely street, All this kindness found in me, could not win eternity
(Chorus)
No it wouldn't be enough, oh it wouldn't be enough, to buy one splinter of the tree Jesus died on And I could not pay the price for one single drop of blood that was shed for my salvation
(repeat chorus)
(ending) That was shed for my salvation
