Here I go. *deep breath* I am a 38 year old woman and I have tried many times to break free from my addiction myself. I wanted to do this on my own because to admit that I am a woman who likes to watch pornography has been too hard for me. I can't seem to do that in real life with my friends or pastor or even my husband so I am going to do it here. Its even hard for me to do here but I have to quit doing this to myself and my husband because even though he doesn't know it, I do. I hope I don't scare anyone away with this. Pornography is such a gross sin, but that is exactly why I am here because I don't want to be gross anymore. It makes me feel so dirty. I need help.

Welcome!
Feel free to be here. There aren't many people here YET, but it WILL grow. I understand how you feel. We have to apply the Word of God to work in our lives, and as you do the dirty feelings go away, and are replaced with Love and Peace. I am glad you're here.

Welcome to the board. I don't have the same problem as you but I have my own addiction. I will pray for you to have strength and maybe you will pray for me too.

Here I am at my computer wanting to go surfing for what I shouldn't. Please help me, I don't know how to stay away from this stuff. How do I not want it?

godhelpme, I'm sorry I couldn't be here earlier to help. Are you okay now? Did you give into temptation or not? As the board grows there will be more people here who can help when I can't be here. It is great though that you came here first to try to get help when you were being tempted. I guess I need to write something explaining what to do when temptations seem to be overtaking us and we don't know how to stop it. As for not wanting it, that comes as you renew your mind to the truth of God's Word.

I only hope that the Bible will make me free very soon then. No, I didn't give into the temptation that day but I did yesterday and I'm feeling like an idiot. I almost didn't even come back here because I didn't want to have to admit to that.

The truth is what makes you free. Just start new and commit to changing this in your life.

you may want to see a theropist about this issue. This is a strong addiction, one that you can not break on your own.

I'm seeing a Christian Couselor now. I like it so far. It is helping me but of course if I felt like I could talk about this with my friends or someone instead it would be a lot cheaper!!!!!! My mama always told me to see Christian counselors only though if I needed to. Bye!!!
